this is what a representative of hangeng states

His contract started at the age of 18, a minor. He knew NOTHING about debuting in korea as in he was never told that he would be debuting in korea. SM took advantage of him and made the contract.
His contract is 13 years. Originally, his contract was from the release of 1st album to 10 years. but later.. it was extended to 13 years. their first album was released in december of 2005. 13 years would mean his contract is till 2018, at the age of 35.
if for some reason, there is a break period (due to health etc.) the contract will automatically be extended, which would mean the contract could last over 13 years.
Hangeng was forced to do activities. during his training, if he was tardy, or absent, he would fined be 10,000 won for the first time, and 20,000 won for 2nd, 3rd and so on.
after debut, if he was tardy or absent, he would have to pay compensation for damages. if he did not get their phone call for 1 day, sm had the rights to terminate/cancel his contract. then goes on about compensation if there was termination of his contract.
Hangeng had no say in their activities. SM did, so he just had to follow orders. performance etc made by the manager (which is selected by sm) had to be done no matter what. this put hangeng in a psychological state.
during the contract, all composed music, recorded music, all belong to sm.
music written by him were not allowed to be used without sm's permission.
they have to sell over 50,000 copies in order to receive 2% of sales.

this is total SLAVERY man!!!
if that's the contract, then mayb they have a reason to complain...
